Начиная с выпуска 2018, Лайтрум функционирует в операционной системе Windows 10. Последний релиз электронной фотолаборатории (Lightroom 2021) требует сборки v1709 и выше. Более ранние выпуски системы редактором уже не поддерживаются. Требования для среды macOS – v10.12 (Sierra) или выше.

Инструкция по инсталляции

Установка пакета начинается с получения Adode ID (если учетная запись отсутствует). Регистрация необходима для работы в облачном сервисе и проходит в два этапа.

Вначале заполняется форма с персональными данными, далее вводится информация о целях использования и навыках владения программой. Despite sharing its name with Adobe Photoshop, it cannot perform many Photoshop functions such as doctoring (adding, removing or altering the appearance of individual image items), rendering text or 3D objects on images, or modifying individual video frames.

Lightroom is not a file manager like Adobe Bridge. It cannot operate on files unless they are imported into its database first, and only in recognized image formats.
