I had Total Success Running MMD on Win 10 64-bit!

FIVE Downloads in my Downloads folder!

Then, this morning, I started to add MikuMikuDance to my new Win 10 PC. I went to the LearnMMD.com Downloads page and downloaded MMD 9.31×64 … and then I downloaded MME v037x64 “in English” (It’s important that both MMD and MME “match”: both must be 32-bit or both must be 64-bit.)

Then , on the downloads page that shows you what OTHER software MMD needs to have installed. I downloaded the DirectX 9c Runtime, C++ 2008 Redistributable for 64-bit, and the C++ 2010 Redistributable for 64-bit.

First and only Hiccup… DirectX Runtime installation

I ran the DirectX executable that I had downloaded… and it asked me “Where” to place the files it was about to download. I had no idea. So, I went back to LearnMMD.com and the main Troubleshooting article… and it told me to place a new folder named TMP onto my C drive. I did so… and then returned to that question, clicked BROWSE… and navigated my way to that TMP folder.

That DirectX Runtime then finished its installation without another incident.

I then unzipped the C++ 2008 Redistributable and installed that software.

Next: the C++ 2010 software.

Then I dragged the MMD zip folder to my Desktop and unzipped it… “Extract All”… and found my new MMD folder on the Desktop. … I did the same with the MME zip folder. I opened that new MME folder and did a drag-and-drop to put the three DLLs into the same folder as the MikuMikuDance.exe file.

Finally: MikuMikuDance!

I opened that new MMD folder… and tried to open MikuMikuDance.

SUCCESS! … MMD opened and looked great and that little MMEffect was where it belonged: in the upper right corner of my screen.

FAST Computer!

Knowing I had a whiz-bang new computer, I tried loading the Sample(All Stars).pmm sample dance. In just a couple of blinks, it was loaded and on-screen. I was ALREADY further-along than what my old XP computer could usually accomplish! Almost every time, it used to “lock-up” when I tried to open that dance. My new Windows 10 “gamers” computer was able to play that dance at between 56- and 58-frames per second! (When my old XP DID play this dance, it was at, maybe, 2- or 3-fps!)

Doin’ the Sparkly Happy Dance!

For my next trick, I dragged the new Mikumikudance.exe file and it’s DATA folder into my old, existing MMD folder. I then did a drag-and-drop to move those three new DLLS into that old folder to replace the old 32-bit DLLs.

I opened MMD… It worked perfectly. … I was JAZZED!

Next, I opened my most MME effect-heavy saved dance… and… it opened quickly and ran just fine at 60-fps.

If you were already running MMD 9.12 or newer … the only difference in all of the folders is the MikuMikuDance.exe file AND a new Data Folder … Download the MMD 9.32 zip, and drop the new .exe file and the new DATA folder into your old MMD folder and say YES to replace the old with the new. None of the other files have changed since 9.12

MMD 9.31 and newer includes LUKA MEGURINE ver 1.1 … an update to the Luka model included in old MMD 8.10! … and 9.31 and newer includes Luka in the Sample(AllStars).pmm dance! LearnMMD still has MMD 8.10 available from our Downloads page if you want to get Luka 1.0

Для создания анимированных сцен с вокалойдами необходимо специальное программное обеспечение, заточенное под эти цели. Miku Miku Dance — была создана для этих задач, этот инструмент позволяет работать с ragdoll-физическими моделями, то есть управлять каждой частью модели вокалойда и записывать эти изменения с наложением аудиодорожки.

Работа с моделями

MMD позволяет загружать модели, к слову, при старте имеется приличный набор моделей. Работа с моделями (model manipulation) не ограничена в количестве, всё зависит от производительности вашего компьютера. Также программа позволяет управлять костями объектов (bone manipulation), управление каждой косточкой позволяет создавать уникальные позы, которые можно сохранять и применять для разных моделей. Отдельного упоминания заслуживает окно управления эмоциями (facial manipulation), в аналогии с позами вы можете создавать эмоции и примерять их на различные модели. Все изменения можно регистрировать по кадрам.

Управление камерой

Важной для подобных редакторов функцией является управление камерой, не сложно догадаться, что обзор позволяет увидеть недочёты, которые могут повлиять на качество анимации. Панель «View» позволяет рассматривать сцену буквально со всех сторон, также управление камерой осуществляется с помощью кнопок мыши: колесо мыши — перемещение по плоскости, правая кнопка — вращение камеры вокруг модели

Запись сцены

Запись анимации осуществляется по средствам регистрации изменений частей тела моделей, в каждом окне изменения положения есть кнопка «Register», которая и регистрирует анимацию на видеоряд, важно знать, что любое изменение модели можно растянуть на разное количество кадров, это влияет на время и скорость анимации. Что немаловажно, MMD поддерживает аудиодорожки. . За воспроизведение отвечает панель «Play», функция «Repeat», например, подходит для создания «бесконечно» повторяющихся действий.

Достоинства

• Простой и понятный интерфейс;
• Возможность импортирования моделей;
• Маленький вес программы;
• Распространяется бесплатно.

Недостатки

• Нет официальной русификации;
• Отсутствие конкуренции.

The “Missing DLL Error” has Two Versions!

Sometimes a user needs to update his/her DirectX files.

• The first, basic DirectX error states that MMD cannot find DxOpenNI.dll. You need to run the DirectX 9c Updater from the LearnMMD Downloads page.
• The other common DLL error is the “d3dx9_32-dll was not found“. This is more complicated because that file is simply not in your system32 folder. Read all about fixing this MMD missing DLL error here: https://learnmmd.com/http:/learnmmd.com/mmd-error-d3dx9_32-dll-was-not-found/

Go to the LearnMMD Downloads Page to get your MikuMikuDanceE_v926.zip … a 6.5mb download.

Download MMD 9.32. It is a 6.5mb download ZIP file. I SAVEd it to my Desktop. When you have it, open that zip folder and click the command “Extract All”. I just agreed to the defaults and found a new folder on my desktop containing MikuMikuDance … ready to run. I dropped the ZIP folder into the MMD folder just to keep it. There is no “installing” MMD. It sits in its folder on your desktop, ready to use. If you decide you don’t want to keep it, just drag the folder into the Recycle Bin … there is no “uninstall”.

With MikuMikuDance being released in English, our readers from around the world can download MMD. Readers in France, Chile, Iceland and India can download MMD and visit LearnMMD.com for MMD instructions!

Upgrade DirectX_9 if you get the Missing DLL Error

In July of 2011, I found that I needed to upgrade to, at least, DirectX_9 … and I had a heck of a time finding it on the Microsoft Support pages.

This link at Microsoft is proven to work for all Windows versions … XP thru Windows 10 … I hope it works for you!

IMPORTANT!

Most likely you have the higher version of DirectX installed on your computer by now. The common mistake is to update it to the latest release and expect it to solve your problems. Well, it won’t. MMD requires very specific files that are no longer distributed by default, so if you have the “missing dll problem“, you *need* to install the redistributable pack listed here. Do not worry, it won’t overwrite your newer DirectX install!

Download MMDxShow.dll Zip… Reggie’s personal copy!

Try this fix for the Cannot find MMDxShow.dll Error message. RENAME your old MMDxShow.dll file (if you have one) so you still have it in case this fix doesn’t work for you. Then download MMDxShow.dll from LearnMMD.com … drop it into your DATA folder inside the main MMD folder.
