Сегодня я познакомлю вас еще с одним инструментом под названием Spybot Anti-Beacon, который также предназначен для отключения шпионских модулей Windows 10. Он поможет отключить большинство инструментов, которые использует Microsoft для слежки за пользователями Windows 10.

Установка Spybot Anti-Beacon

Для начала выбираем язык. На данный момент нет версии Spybot Anti Beacon на русском, но это особо и не требуется. Пользоваться Spybot Anti Beacon можно и на английском.

Первое, что я заметил, это то, что во время установки Spybot Anti-Beacon предлагает отметить галочкой пункт «Refresh immunization…». Эта функция позволяет «обновлять иммунизацию» каждый раз, когда операционная система перезагружается.

«Refresh immunization…» — нужная вещь, рекомендую отметить ее галочкой. Ведь Microsoft постоянно выпускает обновления, которые могут повлиять на функции сбора информации и изменения внесенные этой утилитой.

Использование Spybot Anti-Beacon

После установки и запуска Spybot Anti-Beacon, откроется основная вкладка программы. Она показывает все основные настройки, которые вы можете изменить.

Они включают в себя: отключение хостов и службы телеметрии, программу улучшения качества, контроль WiFi, запись действий пользователя на компьютере, обновление ОС через P2P, блокировка приложений, которые используют идентификатор рекламы и т. д..

Все эти настройки конфиденциальность Windows можно настроить одним щелчком мыши. Просто нажмите «Immunize» — «Иммунизация», и утилита отключит их.

На случай, если вы хотите отключить только некоторые настройки конфиденциальности, имеется кнопка «Show options» — «Показать параметры», в которой содержится более подробная информация о том, что означает каждый пункт, и которая позволяет устранить найденные проблемы выборочно.

Также зайдите на вкладку «Optional» — «Дополнительно». Я лично заблокировал большинство пунктов, перечисленных там, оставив только IP-адрес Bing, потому что я использую его. Но, если вы не используете Bing, заблокируйте его тоже.

Кнопка «Apply» отключает слежение, а кнопка «Undo» возвращает прежние значения. Это на случай, если что-то пойдет не так. На всякий случай, можно сделать и бекап всей системы.

Еще одна вещь, которая меня приятно удивила, это то что Spybot Anti-Beacon предоставляет настройки приватности в Microsoft Office 2013 и 2016. Для тех кто не в курсе, Microsoft Office также собирает и отправляет пользовательские данные в Microsoft.

На данный момент не известно какая именно информация отправляется в Microsoft с помощью Office, но это не имеет особого значения. Если есть возможность безболезненно отключить телеметрию, лучше это всегда делать.

На самом деле продвинутый пользователь имея достаточный уровень работы с ПК может все это проделать вручную, но это возьмет кучу времи. А с этой программой отключение телеметрии и других шпионских модулей Windows 10 можно реализовать быстрее и легче.

На мой взгляд очень даже не плохая программа. Она не висит в трее и не жрет память, ее один раз запускаешь и она сама исправляет все найденные проблемы. После чего программу закрываем и спим спокойно. Но имейте в виду вам придется постоянно обновлять программу, поскольку Microsoft всегда меняет места, где она скрывает параметры телеметрии в Windows 10.

Pros: Host File Protection, Browser Guards, Realtime Spyware and Malware Protection, Process Control, Deep System Scanning, and many others you normally wouldn’t find in a traditional security software suite.

Cons: The only con I can rightly say is that it consumes a lot of system resources and some of the scans can take a while, depending on the size of your system and the configurations of the scan you choose.

Summary: This is a robust security application that is an excellent supplement to existing security software and especially useful for those whom still use the Internet Explorer browser, because of the protections it offers, including that of the host file as well as a user’s homepage.
Even if you don’t want to pay for the full version, the free version is still worth the download and is a formidable contender in the world of antimalware software.

My Google Chrome browser was always triggering to unwanted page — Adcash and DoubleClick. Sometimes my browser triggering to porn sites. Other softwares fails to detect it, but Spybot Search & Destroy can do so through the scanning function. Privacy protection moved to the spotlight ever since the release of Windows 10. The telemetry settings included in the latest OS iteration are supposedly designed to improve the overall experience, but more and more users are concerned about their private data and the way Microsoft uses it. As a consequence, the number of applications that can block tracking services are now increasing, and one of them goes by the name of Spybot Anti-Beacon.

Select the options you want and check modifications before applying changes

No installation is required when using Spybot Anti-Beacon, so just double-click on the executable file to launch it. Usage is very simple, and no restore point is automatically created, although you are advised to create one beforehand, just to be on the safe side of things.

There are various settings Spybot Anti-Beacon can tamper with. There are checkboxes to choose the ones you want but they are not visible unless you choose to ‘Show Options’. So don’t think that it’s all or nothing with Spybot Anti-Beacon and settle for the default list of settings, as you are free to choose the ones to apply.
Additionally, Spybot Anti-Beacon displays short explanations of the registry keys, tasks or services each option will modify. This way, you’ll know what exactly are you doing. An universal ‘Undo’ button is there, so you can revert the changes anytime you want to.

Block telemetry group policy and other tracking options

Spybot Anti-Beacon can block telemetry-related hosts and services, restrict the telemetry group policy and automatically block apps that use the advertising ID. Furthermore, it can tamper with other group policies, such as the CEIP (Consmer Experience Improvement Program), AIT (Application Impact Telemetry), Steps Recorder Group Policy or WiFi Sense, in order to prevent data collection without the user’s permission.

Optional settings enable you to disable web search and Cortana, remove OneDrive and block the remote registry service. For these, you get to pick the settings to apply, with undo options for each.

A long way to go to ensure complete privacy protection

Spybot Anti-Beacon is a new attempt to reach the privacy protection goal when using Windows 10, providing a quick and easy way to disable telemetry services, configure group policies and block hosts.

However, there is still room for improvement to meet the users’ requirements. At the moment, there are competitor applications that do more. For instance, it would be great to have the application disable the access of apps to wireless connections, block localization access and services, disable the automatic Windows updates or the feedback reminders.
